What is the NBC Village

The Department of Residence Life at the University of Wisconsin Oshkosh is proud to offer the NBC Village program to first-year students. We are excited to have this program continuing into its second year in the 2008-2009 academic year. This first-year residential living experience will aid students in a successful transition to the University of Wisconsin Oshkosh.

Nelson, Breese and Clemans Residence Halls were chosen as the site of this residential living experience for many reasons. These halls have strong traditions of leadership and involvement. They are situated in an ideal location to Reeve Union, Blackhawk Commons, Polk Library and the new Student Recreation and Wellness Center, and offer ample green space for programs and activities. These three buildings are smaller in size, have a smaller population of residents, and allow for greater community connections and relationships.

Navigate. Build. Connect.

Knowing where to go on campus to find exactly what you need and want can be confusing. The NBC Village experience will help you to navigate the resources that you will need throughout your academic career.

Your college experience is about making new friends, meeting new people and finding your passions. The NBC Village offers you a chance to meet other first-year students in a close setting, and build relationships with faculty and staff through shared classes and hall activities.

You will be connected to the UW Oshkosh campus and Oshkosh community through programs, activities, and by getting involved in community service and in student organizations.
