Computer Lab Policies
The following are the official computer lab policies set by the Department of Residence Life and MIO. By using the lab, you agree to abide by these policies. Violating the policies could result in varying degrees of disciplinary action.
- No food, drink, or the use of tobacco products
- Students are allowed to print 20 pages double sided
- Each resident must check out a key to access the computer lab. Residents of Donner, Scott, and Taylor Halls must use their FOB to access the computer lab in their respective buildings.
- No viewing of pornographic materials
- No downloading illegal or copyrighted material
- Non residents are not permitted to use Residence Hall computer labs
- Students wishing to work in groups should limited to no more than three people in a group. Groups must only use computers assigned to them by the key given to them by the front desk.
- Any activity deemed as hacking or abusing network resources is prohibited
- Keys are not to be kept overnight
Abuse of lab resources that results in physical damage to hardware or copying computer software for personal use will not be tolerated.
Violation of these policies may result in immediate disciplinary action which may include:
- A written warning
- One week suspension of lab privileges
- One month suspension of lab privileges, with an IR filed with Residence Life
- Suspended indefinitely from labs
- Reimbursement for damaged equipment
- Referral to Dean of Students Office
- Police Report filed
