Description

The Residence Hall Director position at the University of Wisconsin Oshkosh requires a Master's degree in College Student Personnel, Counseling, or a related field. Previous residence hall experience is preferred. The position will begin on Wednesday, July 30, 2008. Remuneration for the position includes the following:

  • $27,914 (includes $25,425 base salary for 9 month academic school year appointment plus $2,489 compensation for additional services (CAS) for August training)
  • Choice of four Meal Plan options (while school is in session)
  • $900 in professional development funds
  • Excellent fringe benefits (health, retirement, etc.)
  • Reserved parking space
  • $250 toward moving expenses

 

 

General Responsibilities

 

The Residence Hall Director (RHD) is responsible for the welfare and development of students living in the residence hall. The primary goal is the development of residential communities that are supportive of personal growth, academic achievement, and respect for the rights of others. The RHD strives to foster individual and community development by means of: individual and group advising; staff supervision and training; appropriate role modeling; performance of administrative functions; and participation as a fully functioning member of the Residence Life staff team.
