Gruenhagen Housekeeper
A housekeeper at the Gruenhagen Conference Center prepare lodging rooms, wash bed spreads, and other cleaning tasks to keep the Gruenhagen Conference Center in tip top shape for our guests. If you don't mind cleaning, this position may be for you.

Reports to the Head Housekeeper.
Hourly wage: $ 7.15
Work Hours: 10-15 hrs/ week
Responsibilities include
- Prepares lodging rooms – cleans, makes beds, refrigerators, etc.
- Washes bedspreads, blankets, mattress covers
- Locks up lodging rooms after a conference at the direction of the Head Housekeeper.
- Responsible for specialized cleaning in lodging rooms, ie. behind beds, heating units, etc.
- Distributes handouts in lodging rooms as required.
- Cleans north tower laundry room, including washers, dryers, and lint traps.
- Prepares the apartments or plus rooms as necessary.
- Reports maintenance problems in lodging rooms to the Maintenance Crew Supervisor.
- Gathers and counts linen items for inventory proposes.
- Stocks the front desk linen room on regular basis.
- Responsible for security of items found in the lodging rooms after the guest has checked out – fills out “Found Item” slips and places the item in the correct area for storage.
- Maintains an attitude the quality customer service is the priority of the Gruenhagen Conference Center and upholds the vision statement.
- Performs other duties as assigned by the Head Housekeeper.
- Shares weekend clean up duties on a rotating basis with the rest of the crew. The purpose of weekend cleaning is to clean the public areas in use over the weekend. Duties for weekend clean up include:
- Checks and cleans bathrooms on all occupied lodging floors and in all public areas in the Conference Center and River Center, if it is being used..
- Cleans sinks, toilets, mirrors, checks toilet papers. Sweep and mops as needed
- Sweeps and mops the first floor in the Conference Center and the main lobby area in River Center, if the building is being used.
- Empties garbage cans in lounges on occupied floors, 1st floor common areas in the Conference Center and River Center, if the building is used over the weekend.
- Empties garbage in any meeting rooms in use on Saturday/or Sunday. Vacuums as necessary. Depending on need may have to clean the entire meeting room.
- Checks outside garbage receptacles to see if they need to be emptied.
- Vacuums and wipes down tables in the Conference Center lobby. Picks up garbage from the tables and straightens out the literature rack.
- Vacuums hallways and lounges on occupied lodging floors on an as needed basis.
- Pulls the chutes in the North and South Tower Saturday and Sunday
