Front Desk Worker
The Hall Desk Worker is the front line for all Residence Halls. They are the first person people see when they walk in. They greet guests and residents, answer phones and any questions students might have. They also are responsible for checking out various equipment and reporting to the Desk Manager, PA’s, and ARHD.
Pay Rate: $6.55/hr.
Work Hours: Flexible
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Answer telephone and communicate messages received
- Answer questions from residents and guests
- Check out keys to residents
- Make sure to follow proper procedure
- Sell stamps to residents if hall sells stamps
- Report emergency situations to staff member on duty
- Be a presence in the lobby and notify the duty staff member or other necessary personnel about suspicious activity or any violations of UW Oshkosh policies and Local, State or Federal laws
- Distribute mail if scheduled
- Maintain desk and lobby areas in an orderly fashion
- Check out hall equipment
- Attend training sessions and meetings as required
- Be knowledgeable and follow procedures outlined in the desk manual
- Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned by the Desk PA, Desk Manager, and A/RHD
- Must have at least a 2.5 GPA and not be on Residence Hall probation.
