The Alcohol and Electronic Safety Education Coordinator will work with the AODA Coordinate, Department of Residence Life and the University Counseling Center to coordinate alcohol and electronic safety education efforts on campus and in the residence halls.

Each year the University of Wisconsin Oshkosh Department of Residence Life sponsors a national job placement conference which provides an opportunity for university and college administrators to interview applicants for housing and residence life positions, primarily entry level residence hall director or graduate assistant positions. This year marks the 30th consecutive Oshkosh Placement Exchange (OPE), bringing together candidates and employers from nearly 40 states each year. OPE will be held on Thursday, February 26 - Sunday, March 1.

The Weekend Custodian reports directly to the Custodial Services Supervisors for the Department of Residence Life. The person in this position must be punctual and detail-oriented; be trustworthy and able to work independently; have mobility and be able to climb stairs and be on their feet for the entire shift; be able to lift 50 lbs.; and demonstrate the ability to plan and complete all assigned work within a given time period.

The MIO is responsible for all of the Department of Residence Life's technology needs. The programming department constantly develops new programs to support Residence Life staff as well as the students. In 2007 we launched our current Portal, which is now what a lot of our programmers develop for. Portal is written in ASP.NET using C#. The programming team also still supports some Fox Pro applications, though they have been moving more toward web development.

The MIO is responsible for all of the Department of Residence Life's technology needs. The LAN team is primarily tasked with the configuration and maintenance of the department's world-class data center. The MIO data center is home to over 25 servers running the most sophisticated hardware and software available. Additionally, the LAN team is responsible for maintaining and supporting those network services and applications running on MIO hardware, including a staff user directory and enterprise e-mail system.

The purpose of the Residence Life Graphic Artists is to take the chaotic strands of information given to us, and organize them into a clear, concise and creative graphic solution. Some of the expectations are to participate in the Professional Development Series that promotes and augments skills in the field of graphic design, technology and other related industries such as paper production, printing and advertising.Also to serve as a media publicity consultant for community advisors, program assistants, assistant residence hall directors, and hall directors, as well as other Department of Residence Life staff members.

The MIO is responsible for all of Residence Life’s Technology needs. Senior Computer Technicians work with the Computer Technicians to support the hardware and software for the department, the Internet in the resident halls, as well as the computers labs located in each resident hall. During the school year Senior Computer Technicians will be focusing on trouble shooting resident’s Internet connection and keeping the computer labs in good working condition. During the summer they mostly spend time on upgrades and cleaning throughout the department.
